Comedy Night w/ Sal Demilio @ The Roxy Lounge
The Roxy Lounge
Rochester, 48307
How to get there
Comedy Night @ The Roxy Lounge, our intimate lower-level venue tucked beneath The Roxy. With a smaller crowd, close-up seating and a full bar just steps away, it’s the perfect setting for a night of live stand-up comedy.
Tonight, featuring Comedian Sal Demilio! How do you describe Sal Demilio? He is Ray Romano meets Tony Soprano. He is Rocky Balboa meets the Godfather. He is Al Capone launching a tommy gun assault on your funny bone.
At 6'3" with an unmistakably Italian presence, Sal may look like he was cast straight out of a mob movie, but his quick wit, likability and self-deprecating humor quickly win over the room. Clever and clean, Sal finds the funny in Italian family life, culture, sports, technology and everyday experiences, delivering relatable comedy with a smooth—and sometimes rapid-fire—style.
With more than 20 years in comedy, Sal has performed at top clubs across the country, including Carolines in New York, The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Zanies in Chicago, along with regular appearances at Michigan favorites like Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle and the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase.
Sal has been heard on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show and SiriusXM, appeared at the World Series of Comedy, and has toured with comedy greats including Louie Anderson, Dave Coulier, Jimmie Walker and Kathleen Madigan.
Big personality, quick wit and plenty of laughs—Sal Demilio is one comedian you won’t forget.
Opener Mary Spencer is a Detroit-based stand-up comedian known for her understated delivery and sharp punchlines. She has performed at the Motor City Comedy Festival, Tree Town Comedy Festival, and Detroit Women of Comedy Festival. She has also shared the stage with comedy heavyweights including Beth Stelling, SNL’s James Austin Johnson, and Carmen Lynch. She loves grocery shopping.
Each Comedy Night will feature a lineup of talented comedians bringing plenty of laughs, great energy and an anything-can-happen kind of night.
